On our last day, we will enjoy breakfast together before we say our goodbyes and head home to tell everyone about our amazing trip.

Itinerary

Our first full day in Yosemite will start by exploring Yosemite Valley, the heart of the park. We will stop by the visitor center to learn about the park and then take a stroll around Yosemite Village. Our picnic lunch will be at Swinging Bridge, along the Merced River. We will see Yosemite Falls, one of the most famous waterfalls in the park, and El Capitan, a famous granite cliff. We will also visit the Ansel Adams Gallery and see its current exhibition. In the late afternoon, we’ll return to our house for a snack, followed by dinner.

On day three, we will do some easy hikes in Yosemite Valley, such as Lower Yosemite Falls and Bridalveil Falls. Both falls should be raging during the spring snowmelt. After a picnic lunch, we will drive on the scenic Tioga Road to see Tuolumne Meadows, where we can chill out among the wildflowers, river, deer, and granite peaks surrounding the meadow.

On day four we will explore Mariposa Grove, home to over 500 giant sequoias, some of which are 3000 years old. We will hike the Grizzly Giant Loop Trail. After a picnic lunch in the park, we’ll head back to Bass Lake for relaxation time.

After a picnic lunch on the boat, there will be time for a hike for those that are interested before returning to our house for a late afternoon snack and dinner.
On day six, we will hike to Wapama Falls in Hetch Hetchy Valley, a favorite spot of John Muir, Father of the National Parks. The Hetch Hetchy Reservoir is the largest body of water in Yosemite and serves as a water supply for communities west of Yosemite, including San Francisco. After a picnic lunch, we will return to our house for a late afternoon snack and dinner.
