Kim is an absolutely wonderful person and I’m so happy I finally got a chance to take part in one of her tours! I was first connected a year ago and we’ve been online friends ever since. Finally made my way over to Asheville for the day tour and it was a truly magical day. She showed us some spots I wouldn’t have visited on my own and I got my animal sanctuary fix! Can’t wait to go on a bigger tour in the future!
We have planned the perfect trip to make sure you get the most of this beautiful region!
Join us to explore Yosemite, America’s third designated national park, in the off season. All types of nature can be found here–stunning waterfalls best seen in spring, deep valleys, expansive meadows, and giant age-old trees. We will be based in nearby Bass Lake, in two homes just a two minute walk from the lake.

One tour leader, two drivers, two vegan cooks
The tour begins with dinner on the first night. Guests can arrive throughout the day on May 6.
On our first full day, our adventure begins! We will drive to different parts of Yosemite National Park every day to explore the park’s majestic scenery, and one afternoon we’ll enjoy a pontoon boat ride on the lake near our house. On our last day, we will enjoy breakfast together before we say our goodbyes and head home to tell everyone about our amazing trip.
You will never have to worry about what you are going to eat on a Veg Jaunts and Journeys tour. Mark is our in-house chef and founder of letseatgreat.com. He will be preparing all meals, so you can enjoy the adventures and relaxation of your vacation. The meals will be whole food, with no salt/oil/sugar, and always plant-based.

Arrival throughout the first day. We will offer several airport pickups scheduled around the times most guests are arriving. Enjoy some time to explore the nearby lake or relax outside.
Our first full day in Yosemite will start by exploring Yosemite Valley, the heart of the park. We will stop by the visitor center to learn about the park and then take a stroll around Yosemite Village. Our picnic lunch will be at Swinging Bridge, along the Merced River. We will see Yosemite Falls, one of the most famous waterfalls in the park, and El Capitan, a famous granite cliff. We will also visit the Ansel Adams Gallery and see its current exhibition. In the late afternoon, we’ll return to our house for a snack, followed by dinner.
Day 1: Dinner
Day 2: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner
On day three, we will do some easy hikes in Yosemite Valley, such as Lower Yosemite Falls and Bridalveil Falls. Both falls should be raging during the spring snowmelt. After a picnic lunch, we will drive on the scenic Tioga Road to see Tuolumne Meadows, where we can chill out among the wildflowers, river, deer, and granite peaks surrounding the meadow.
On day four we will explore Mariposa Grove, home to over 500 giant sequoias, some of which are 3000 years old. We will hike the Grizzly Giant Loop Trail. After a picnic lunch in the park, we’ll head back to Bass Lake for relaxation time.
Day 3: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner
Day 4: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner
Day five will have us cruising on Bass Lake on a private pontoon boat. This half-day ride will allow us to explore all parts of the lake, which is surrounded by the Sierra National Forest. After a picnic lunch on the boat, there will be time for a hike for those that are interested before returning to our house for a late afternoon snack and dinner.
On day six, we will hike to Wapama Falls in Hetch Hetchy Valley, a favorite spot of John Muir, Father of the National Parks. The Hetch Hetchy Reservoir is the largest body of water in Yosemite and serves as a water supply for communities west of Yosemite, including San Francisco. After a picnic lunch, we will return to our house for a late afternoon snack and dinner.
Day 5: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner
Day 6: Breakfast, lunch, and dinner
On day seven, we will have breakfast and this will conclude our Yosemite adventure.

What a fun day exploring Asheville with Kim! She is so knowledgeable about vegan places around the city and very friendly too. We had a great time eating, drinking kombucha, meeting rescued animals and more. Highly highly recommend!
