Explore the serene Hudson Valley!

Partnering with local sanctuaries and small Hudson Valley businesses, we are excited to invite you on a journey through one of New York’s most scenic regions. This trip is all about enjoying great scenery, learning a bit of history, spending time with animals, and eating delicious vegan food.

Our days will include time in some of the Valley’s most beautiful protected landscapes, including Mohonk Preserve and Minnewaska State Park, where clifftop trails and Awosting Falls offer unforgettable views. We’ll connect with animals and the people who protect them at Catskill Animal Sanctuary, Woodstock Farm Sanctuary, and Nyquist-Harcourt Wildlife Sanctuary, gaining insight into compassionate conservation and rescue work.

This tour also includes stops at Bethel Woods, the site of the original Woodstock festival, and Historic Huguenot Street, where we’ll get a glimpse of early Hudson Valley life. We’ll round things out with treats from Lagusta’s Luscious and Sweet Maresa’s Bakery, plus a relaxing Hudson River cruise to take in the landscape from the water.

With a mix of nature, animals, history, and local favorites, this trip is a great way to explore the Hudson Valley and enjoy what makes the region special!

Trip Overview

Come explore the Hudson Valley with us on a five-day adventure full of great food, beautiful views, and amazing memories. Hike scenic trails, meet rescued animals at local sanctuaries, stroll charming historic streets, and enjoy fresh, seasonal meals at some of the Valley’s best vegan spots.

We’ll finish the tour with a special farm-to-table dinner, where you can relax by the pool, enjoy seasonal dishes straight from the fields, and celebrate a week of adventures, connections, and unforgettable experiences in the Hudson Valley.

Itinerary


After picking you up from the airport and settling in at our hotel, we’ll head to New Paltz, our home base for the next five days. Our first stop is Laguna’s Luscious Chocolate, where you can enjoy a sweet, handcrafted treat. From there, we’ll continue on to a favorite local pizza spot for our first dinner together—an easy, relaxed evening to unwind, connect, and ease into our Hudson Valley adventure.
After breakfast with goodies from a local vegan bakery, we’ll head out for a hike at the Mohonk Preserve, a stunning nature reserve with miles of forested trails, rocky ridges, and scenic views that showcase the beauty of the Hudson Valley.
We’ll enjoy lunch at a popular local spot, then continue to Historic Huguenot Street for a guided tour. We’ll wander the charming streets and learn about the area’s early settlers and rich history before ending the day with dinner at a vegan Chinese restaurant.

After breakfast, we’ll visit the Catskill Animal Sanctuary, a serene 150‑acre refuge where rescued farmed animals enjoy safe, happy lives. You’ll meet the residents, learn their stories, and discover the Sanctuary’s inspiring mission of compassion and education. After our tour, we’ll enjoy a fresh, local lunch right on site.
Next, we’ll head to Kingston for some well‑deserved treats at a beloved vegan bakery before setting sail on a solar‑powered Hudson River cruise. We’ll glide quietly along the river, taking in breathtaking views while learning about the region’s history and environment in an eco‑friendly way.
We’ll wrap up the day with a delicious dinner at Darlings, a beloved local spot offering creative vegan dishes, the perfect way to relax and savor the flavors of the Hudson Valley after a day of adventure.
On day 4, we’ll start early and drive to Bethel Woods Center for the Arts, located on the historic site of the 1969 Woodstock Music & Art Fair. On our guided tour, we’ll explore the award‑winning Museum and hear the stories behind one of the most iconic music festivals in history, with exhibits that bring the sounds, culture, and spirit of the ’60s to life.
After lunch at The Red Dot Vegetarian Kitchen, we’ll enjoy a relaxing afternoon walk at Nyquist‑Harcourt Wildlife Sanctuary, a peaceful 56‑acre nature haven with easy trails through woodlands and along the Wallkill River, offering great views and opportunities for birdwatching. We’ll finish the day with dinner at Garden Cafe Woodstock, a local favorite celebrated for its creative vegan cuisine.

We’ll start our last full day at the Woodstock Farm Sanctuary, a peaceful 135‑acre animal refuge where rescued farmed animals live out their days in comfort and care. You’ll meet cows, pigs, goats, chickens, and more, hear their stories and experience firsthand the sanctuary’s inspiring mission of compassion.
After our visit, we’ll enjoy lunch at Rail Trail Cafe, a cozy local favorite known for fresh, flavorful dishes. Then, we’ll take a short hike in Minnewaska State Park Preserve to see Awosting Falls, a breathtaking waterfall that plunges 60–65 feet into a clear pool, surrounded by dramatic cliffs and lush forest scenery.
To end our tour on a high note, we’ll head to Little Logan’s Farm, a certified biocyclic veganic farm that grows food in harmony with the land using sustainable, animal‑free practices. Here, you’ll have time to relax by the pool with refreshing mocktails before we walk the fields and learn how our food is grown. Then, we’ll sit down to a chef‑prepared farm‑to‑table dinner right on the farm—fresh, seasonal, and full of local flavor.
The next morning, as we gather for our final breakfast at the hotel, we’ll reflect about the connections we’ve made, the adventures we’ve shared, and the unforgettable experiences of the Hudson Valley before saying our goodbyes and heading home.

Good to Know

Amount of walking: Varies per day but sometimes it is as little as 4,000 steps and other days it might be closer to 5,000.
The tour begins and ends in Albany. Please fly into Albany International Airport (ALB). On August 3, we will have two airport pickups during the day, based on when most flights are arriving. The airport is a 1 hour 15 minute drive from our hotel. On August 8, we will drop you off at ALB. Please book your flight to depart after 11:30 am.
